Silent

I have a love of trees and enjoy trying to capture a something a little different and special in each piece that I paint. This painting 'Silent' was done over a few day last week. Sometimes I just have a need to sit and paint, even though the world around me would rather I didn't. I'm glad I finished it because it sold today to a wonderful lady that told me that people that love trees were thought to be very strong. I loved her explanation of how this painting made her feel. I feel like 'Silent' went to a good home and will be treasure like I treasured the time I had with it.

A New Mural at Take The Cake Gourmet Cupcakery by Lizzy

These cupcakes are to die for!!

Lizzy spent hours designing and painting this beautiful, blingy mural. Lizzy will also be facepainting at their grand opening and personalizing thier special boards once a month. We are really looking forward to having coffee here, listening to the piano in the corner and fellowship with friends. What lovely place!!!

This is a commissioned piece that Lizzy finished about a month ago. It took more of her time than she expected but the result was beautiful. The owner had it frames with old barn boards which looks rustic. The top half of the painting is a scene of the owners family home and the bottom is the aeriel view of the whole farm. What a treasure this will be to the generation of this family! Awesome job Lizzy Dvorsky!!!

This will be our first time since starting Lizzy's Creations that we'll be going to different venues. Lizzy's will be at the Uptown Marion Market with a lot of new artwork and her fabulous facepainting. Marti will be heading to the New Iowa City Downtown Market at the Ped Mall. We will be selling original artwork by MAD and a guest artist Tina Wing. We will also be offering FREE facepainting at this market all summer! Come check us out!
