I have a love of trees and enjoy trying to capture a something a little different and special in each piece that I paint.  This painting 'Silent' was done over a few day last week.  Sometimes I just have a need to sit and paint, even though the world around me would rather I didn't.  I'm glad I finished it because it sold today to a wonderful lady that told me that people that love trees were thought to be very strong.  I loved her explanation of how this painting made her feel.  I feel like 'Silent' went to a good home and will be treasure like I treasured the time I had with it.

                     A New Mural at Take The Cake Gourmet Cupcakery by Lizzy

These cupcakes are to die for!! 

Lizzy spent hours designing and painting this beautiful, blingy mural.  Lizzy will also be facepainting at their grand opening and personalizing thier special boards once a month.  We are really looking forward to having coffee here, listening to the piano in the corner and fellowship with friends.  What lovely place!!!

This is a commissioned piece that Lizzy finished about a month ago.  It took more of her time than she expected but the result was beautiful.  The owner had it frames with old barn boards which looks rustic.  The top half of the painting is a scene of the owners family home and the bottom is the aeriel view of the whole farm.  What a treasure this will be to the generation of this family!  Awesome job Lizzy Dvorsky!!!

Macaroni Kid Family Fun Day and Egg-Stravaganza!

It's an EGG-stravaganza at Westdale Mall in Cedar Rapids on Saturday, April 7th, 2012! Bring your Easter Baskets and come out and enjoy a family fun day with Macaroni Kid and facepainting by Lizzy's Creations! A Big Thank You! and Spring Cleaning

Our participation in the Take 2 Children's Consignment Event was a blast, and we want to thank all who came and supported us!

Right now, we are spring cleaning our Craft and Painting room and getting things ready for our upcoming events, especially the Downtown Cedar Rapids Farmer's Market!  We hope you'll like our newest addition - henna tattoos!
We have some great quality henna that we can't wait to try out, and we are super excited to give young adults and adults a grown-up alternative to our facepainting (though we won't judge you if you want your face painted like a cat or favorite superhero, many young-at-heart adults do!). ;)

We hope everyone is having a great summer! Do you have a favorite summer activity that you always look forward to? For our Lizzy's Creations family the votes are unanimous; sunning by the pool, the Farmer's Markets, growing fresh veggies, and riding bikes!

Our Newest Painting - Divinity

I was very inspired by the constant changing from thunderstorms to sunny weather that has been happening lately, and this picture was a result of that.  


People around me are always giving me advice on what to paint next - but in the end, I really just want to sit in my art room with a mug of coffee, painting what is truly in my heart.  


Painting is my passion, and while I love doing commissioned artwork for friends and acquaintances, when I paint what's in my heart, it becomes a beautiful release of energy and emotion.  I am always growing and learning, and I believe that my art reflects that.

Use your passions in a positive way, and use the things and hobbies you love to SHOW LOVE to others!
